How helpKNX collects, uses, and protects your information.

What we collect

helpKNX collects only what's needed to run a hospitality hiring marketplace. That means:

  • Account information — the email address and password you use to sign in, plus the first and last name you give us on registration. Sign-in identity is stored in Microsoft ASP.NET Core Identity tables.
  • Candidate profile information — whatever you choose to put on your profile: headline, experience summary, skills, work history, availability notes, city/state, years in hospitality, and the roles you're looking for.
  • Resumes — if you upload a resume (PDF or DOCX, up to 5 MB), helpKNX stores it in Azure Blob Storage so that employers you apply to can download it. Replacing or deleting your resume soft-deletes the previous file from your profile.
  • Employer profile information — if you register as an employer, your company name, short and full description, website, locations, and approximate annual hires.
  • Application activity — the jobs you apply to, the applications an employer reviews, and the internal notes employers add as they evaluate candidates.
  • Operational telemetry — anonymous logs of page views and actions sent to Microsoft Application Insights, used to keep the service reliable and to investigate abuse. We do not sell this data.

SMS & text messages

If you add a mobile number to your candidate profile and check the SMS opt-in box, helpKNX sends a small number of transactional text messages about your own activity — for example, when an employer hires you or sends you a message. We never send marketing or promotional texts.

  • Consent is opt-in and per-user. SMS stays off until you enter a mobile number and check the opt-in box in your profile. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or turning the opt-in off in your profile.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message, or email [email protected].
  • Frequency & cost: message frequency varies with your activity; standard message and data rates may apply.
  • We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes, and we never sell mobile information. Full program details are on our SMS notifications page.

Cookies

helpKNX uses a small number of cookies. They split into two categories: essential (always on, required for the site to work) and optional (off by default until you accept).

What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
  • We do not share your profile with employers without your apply action.
  • We do not post anything to other services on your behalf.
  • We do not log passwords, password-reset tokens, or full payment information in plain text. Ever.

Security & access

helpKNX runs on Microsoft Azure, with secrets in Azure Key Vault, encryption in transit (HTTPS via Cloudflare), and encryption at rest (Azure SQL + Blob Storage). helpKNX staff access to your account information is limited to investigating support issues and abuse, and every access is logged in our internal audit system.

Your choices

  • You can edit or delete your profile, your resume, and your work history at any time from your candidate dashboard.
  • You can request a full export or full deletion of your helpKNX data by emailing us.
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails from your account settings.

Age & jurisdiction

helpKNX is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create a helpKNX account. We do not knowingly collect information from minors; if you believe a minor has registered, contact us and we'll remove the account.

helpKNX is operated from and primarily serves the United States. If you access helpKNX from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We treat all helpKNX users consistently regardless of jurisdiction; if you're a resident of the EU/EEA or the UK and want to exercise GDPR/UK GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability), email us and we'll handle the request manually until a formal in-product flow ships.
